John Kneale will be in store to talk about his new book, Volcano Rising: An Ambassador's Diary. The book covers the three year period that he was ambassador in Ecuador. Part of the book details the kidnapping of seven Edmonton men who were working on a pipeline in the Amazon region. They were held captive in the jungle for three months, finally being released after a ransom had been negotiated.

Eva Blaskovic will be in store signing copies of her book Beyond the Precipice. This debut novel is a coming of age story: for six years, Bret has been trapped by the wishes of his dead father. Now, at eighteen, he realizes he must confront his past in order to seize his future. As Bret struggles to resolve his guilt over the death he thinks he caused, he is guided by a cello player named Nicole with whom he falls in love.
